Bio
Ashley Lau joins the EXCEL coaching staff, driven by a passion for mentoring athletes and developing technical excellence. Originally from Minnesota, she grew up as a three-sport athlete, competing in Volleyball, Basketball, and Softball. She continued her athletic career in college, playing both Volleyball and Basketball, where she discovered her true passion for Volleyball.
With 10+ years of coaching experience, Ashley specializes in breaking down fundamental skills and improving body mechanics. She loves training Serve & Serve Receive, as well as, Setting & Hitting. Her coaching philosophy centers on the belief that ‘Effort, Toughness and Team Culture wins games”. She finds the greatest reward is helping athletes grow and finding success in the small improvements and major milestones along the way.
Outside of coaching, Ashley enjoys playing volleyball, hiking and traveling. This fall, she will be heading to Japan, where she looks forward to experiencing the culture and attending a variety of volleyball matches.
