Kinley Windon (Schnell) returns for her second season with the EXCEL Volleyball Club coaching staff, bringing a wealth of elite competitive experience and a deep-rooted connection to the club’s culture. As an EXCEL Alumna, Kinley’s transition from player to mentor provides her athletes with a unique perspective on the dedication required to compete at the national level.

Coaching Highlights & Philosophy

Kinley has quickly established herself as a high-impact coach within the North Texas region, specializing in defensive systems and high-pressure tournament play.

• Championship Success: In the 2025–26 season, Kinley led EXCEL 16N White to a remarkable double qualification, securing their place among the top teams in the nation.

• Player Development: Leveraging her background as a primary passer, she focuses heavily on “out-of-system” transition and defensive grit.

• The Alumna Advantage: Having come through the EXCEL program herself, she embodies the club’s values of discipline, sportsmanship, and technical precision.

Elite Playing Background

Kinley’s coaching style is informed by a decorated career as a collegiate and club athlete.

• Collegiate Career: Kinley was a standout for Harding University (2019–2022). As a four-year letter winner, she appeared in over 100 matches and was a consistent defensive force in the Great American Conference (GAC).

• Defensive Specialist: During her time at Harding, she recorded 782 career digs and 89 service aces, earning multiple GAC Distinguished Scholar Athlete honors for her performance on the court and in the classroom.

• Club Foundations: Before her collegiate success, Kinley competed for EXCEL, where she developed the foundational skills that led to her NCAA Division II career.
