Bio

Lauren Stahlman enters her seventh year coaching with EXCEL, returning to the club where she competed as a player for six seasons. A true “homecoming” story, Lauren leverages her deep roots in the program and her Division I playing experience to mentor the next generation of EXCEL athletes.

Last season, she assisted 12N Red in double qualifying for GJNCs. Her coaching history also includes head coaching 10 Red and assisting 17N Red.  Lauren will bring her expertise to the 13s division as the Assistant Coach for 13N Red.

A standout Libero at Lamar University, Lauren graduated Cum Laude in 2017. During her junior year, she ranked sixth in the Southland Conference in digs per set.  A varsity starter at Plano Senior High, she led her team to the 6A State Quarterfinals. As a club player, she famously traveled to Italy at age 15 to train with the SPES Volleyball Club.

Having played for EXCEL from ages 13 to 18, Lauren understands the club’s culture from the inside out. Originally a setter before transitioning to Libero, she provides her athletes with a comprehensive understanding of both offensive systems and defensive grit.
