Libby (Blasingame) Shewski started coaching at Excel in 2016 and is entering her 7th season coaching overall and 2nd year as Assistant Club Director. Libby’s calling card is developing strong bonds with her players that allow her to build their confidence while pushing and motivating them to fulfill their potential.

This will be Libby’s 4th season as the Excel 12 Red Head Coach and age group lead. Her 12’s have experienced tremendous accomplishments due to Libby’s commitment to train and develop her athletes. Libby has a heart for all the kids in the 12’s program knowing each of them by name and enjoys working together with the other coaches so every team can experience success.

2021-2022, Head Coach, Excel 12 National Red (year 2)

– 1st at Northern Lights, National Division

– 2nd at Lone Star, National Division

– 2nd at Show Me, National Division

– Ranked #2 in NTR after starting with a preseason ranking of 12

– Medaled in all 9 tournaments played, won 5 tournaments in a row (including one 13s tournament and 2 regional ranking tournaments), triple qualified to GJNC

– 12 White secured an American bid to Nationals finishing 3rd in NTR Regionals

2020-2021, Head Coach, Excel 12 National Red (year 1)

– 2nd at Sunshine Classic, National Division

– 3rd at Show Me, National Division

– 5th at Lone Star, National Division

– 2nd at NTR Regionals (won a National bid to GJNC)

– all 3 12’s National Teams ranked in the top 20 in NTR

2019-2020, Assistant Coach, Excel 13 National Red

– SEASON CANCELLED due to COVID (#3 in the region before cancellation)

– Led at home workouts via Instagram Live for all kids at Excel

2018-2019, Assistant Coach, Excel 13 National Red

– Led team to 1st in NTR Regionals, National Division Qualified
