Romel “Coach Ro” Manio returns to EXCEL for his 15th consecutive season, bringing a wealth of elite-level experience and a proven track record of success to our coaching staff. This season, Ro will take the helm as the 15s Age Group Lead, where he will oversee the development and competitive strategy for one of the club’s most vital divisions.

With over a decade of dedication to the EXCEL family, Coach Ro has become a cornerstone of our program. His coaching philosophy is rooted in a rare balance of hard work, discipline, and integrity. He believes that true victory is found not just on the scoreboard, but in the character and sportsmanship his athletes display both on and off the court.

Throughout his tenure, Ro has consistently guided teams to the highest levels of national competition. His resume includes numerous Open and National Division qualifications at major tournaments across the country, including the Lone Star Classic, Show Me, and Northern Lights Qualifiers. Notably, in 2015, he led the 15 National Rave team to a 5th-place finish at the USAV Nationals.

Whether leading as a Head Coach or providing strategic support as an Assistant, Coach Ro’s influence has been instrumental in keeping EXCEL consistently ranked among the top teams in the North Texas Region.
