Sofia Machado (Martin) brings an international perspective and  competitive experience to the EXCEL Volleyball Club coaching staff. With a background that spans elite training, Sofia is dedicated to developing technically sound, high-IQ athletes who can compete at the national level.

Sofia focuses on the mechanics of ball control, emphasizing efficient footwork and platform discipline for defensive specialists and primary passers.  She brings a professional approach to every practice, instilling the same work ethic and discipline required to compete in top-tier programs.

Sofia believes that great players are built through a combination of relentless effort and a deep understanding of the sport’s fundamentals. At EXCEL, her mission is to foster a growth-oriented environment where athletes are encouraged to establish rock-solid foundation that remains consistent under the pressure of national tournaments.  All while building the mental toughness required to handle the swings of momentum in competitive club volleyball.
