Coach Taylor will be entering his fourth season at Excel in 2022-2023. Last season, Taylor led the EXCEL 18N Red boys to qualify for the BJNCs in Phoenix.  In Taylor’s first season, he led 18 White to an American bid with a 5th place finish in a very competitive Regional tournament. Taylor was also an assistant to our 17s Boys team that earned an Open bid at the Dennis Lafata National Qualifier in St. Louis. Taylor came to Excel from Attack Volleyball Club.

Taylor has a calm demeanor but focuses on execution. Taylor is also heavily involved with Beach Volleyball through the 692 program. Taylor has also coached both boys and girls on the private and public school side leading Greenhill School’s 8th graders as well as the Varsity Girls team at Parish Episcopal School and Prosper. Taylor is originally from Plano, TX and went to school at Ole Miss where he competed in both indoor and beach volleyball. He completed his degree in Counseling Psychology at SMU.
