Jill Via enters her seventh year on the EXCEL coaching staff, bringing a unique perspective as both a former elite collegiate athlete and a proud EXCEL Alumna. Her journey with the club has come full circle, moving from a standout player on our courts to a dedicated mentor for the next generation of athletes.

Jill’s transition from player to coach was fueled by a successful collegiate career at the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD). Her experience competing at the NCAA level provided her with a deep technical understanding of the game and the mental toughness required to succeed in high-pressure situations. She draws on this background to help her players navigate the challenges of competitive club volleyball while pushing them to reach their highest potential.

As a long-time member of the EXCEL family, Jill is a firm believer in the club’s culture of excellence and sportsmanship. Her coaching style focuses on refining fundamental skills, increasing tactical awareness, and fostering a strong team bond. She is passionate about helping her athletes develop the same love for the game that defined her own career.
