This is Johnny’s second year coaching at Excel and she is currently the assistant coach for Excel 15N Red. Before coaching at Excel, she was an assistant coach for 2 years at Cobb Atlanta Juniors in Georgia.  Johnny enjoys being able to share her past experience and knowledge with the girls she coaches and getting to see them develop into stronger athletes.

Volleyball has been a major part of Johnny’s life ever since she was a little girl. She was a varsity starter at Plano Senior High and played for Excel her last 3 years of club. She then went on to play at Kennesaw State in Georgia where her team won 3 conference titles and competed twice in the NCAA Tournament. While playing middle was her main position, her time at Kennesaw also allowed her to gain more experience as a right-side and outside. This allowed her to become a more well-rounded player. She graduated Cum Laude in May 2020 with a degree in Business – Marketing. Johnny continues to play now by competing on adult sand and indoor teams.
